Pastor John Hamilton graduated with a B.A. in Religion from Baptist College at Charleston, SC (now called Charleston Southern University) in May 1981. He was presented with a Doctor of Divinity degree from Louisiana Baptist University on July 4, 2010. He became a Pastor at the age of 19. Under the Lord’s leadership, he has started and established two Baptist churches; Gospel Light Baptist Church in Charleston, SC (1982) and New Life Baptist Church in Columbia, SC (2002). Between those two churches there have been over 3,000 people saved. He conducts mission and soul winning conferences, revivals, and ministry conferences as doors are opened. In 2013, the Lord led him into a ministry called US CHURCH PLANTING where he serves young pastors who feel led to start a church.  He is currently the Pastor of New Life Baptist in Columbia, South Carolina. John is married with two children and has three grandchildren.
